The Question in City of Heroes

What could be, if not for trademark restrictions

The Question in City of Heroes
The potential for the Question in City of Heroes

Let it be known that this website is fully in favor of observing copyright and trademark laws, respecting the work of the writers and artists who bring us these great comic books that we so dearly love, enjoy, and make extensive completist fan sites about.

The massively multiplayer online roleplaying game City of Heroes allows players to become, within the confines of virtual reality, superheroes for a day (or a month with a $15 subscription), but limits players to original concepts, forbidding the use of trademarked characters (thus spurring the creativity of the user, which, in most cases, is a good thing).

Just for kicks, though, I went through the character creation process with the goal of creating everyone's favorite faceless superhero. With some creative color choices, I was able to get fairly close to the Question, coming up with the Ditko-inspired costume below. Disclaimer: After taking these screenshots, I closed out of the character creation process. This is not an actual character being used in the game!
