Sketches from conventions

Is there a place to post sketches I've got from professionals?

Re: Sketches from conventions

You can send them to me or post them here (use imageshack.us for hosting) and I'll put them up in the sketch gallery!

Re: Sketches from conventions

Thanks I've got a beautiful Question sketch from Michael Lark at the Bristol Comic Con in the UK last month and a sumptious sketch from Tommy Lee Edwards at the Bristol Comic Con in the UK in mid 2006.

In fact if anyone wants to hear a very brief interview with Michael Lark and pthers you can check out the convention episode of my podcast - http://www.geeksyndicate.co.uk

Re: Sketches from conventions

It's part of the Imageshack format.

That's gorgeous! I've always always always wanted to see a Michael Lark-drawn Question (although, it may turn out he was doing that all along in Gotham Central).

Would you mind if I put this up on the site?

Re: Sketches from conventions

Well, if everything goes to plan, I might get a convention sketch of Batman and Question from Mike Mignolia. 8)

When I asked him to draw The Question he said "Oh"
I said "Oh what?"
He said " I love drawing The Question"

Please go ahead and put it up, do you need me to send you my original scan?

O and believe me its framed and right in front of me every time I enter my bedroom

Re: Sketches from conventions

FUCK ! FUCK! That is amazing. Wow. I really hope (once he's not exclusive to Marvel.....which I may be wrong about) that one day Michael Lark does a Question mini (forget the mini, what about a Question Series?!).

I want Tommy Lee Edwards to have my secret Porn-Earth love child. His art is just amazing.

Tell me about it, I got no interest whatsoever in the Marvel series Bulletpoints but I'm thinking about getting it just for his art.

And the dude (and his wife) were so cool to talk to as well

I already do! The art is great; the story not so much.

I like the story conceptually but I feel like he[JMS] isn't exploring a very important element of the story. That being, why? Sure now Ben is dead and Cap is Iron Man but we need to be shown how these events directly affect history as opposed to just being shown the end results.

Re: Sketches from conventions

This is a sketch by Matt Wagner that I got for christmas (from Ebay)

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d68/j3h/SuperHeroes%20other/batmanmattwagnerj3hsketch.jpg

I also have a Princess Leia by Michael Turner which I got in person...I was going to show that here too, but my camera battery died as I was snapping the shot of the Wagner sketch

Re: Sketches from conventions

Here's my favorite non-Question sketch I've gotten. I hope to ask Chiang for a Question this summer:

Re: Sketches from conventions

I love Matt Wagner. His Hunter Rose character from the 'Grendel' series was easily one of my two favourite villains of all time.
