Vic Sage heads back to Hub City and prepares to write the Pulitzer Prize winning story of his team's exploits. He recounts the story of the orphans' return and the revival of the Blue Beetle, who, after putting his guilt of Dan Garrett's death behind him, is looking to put aside the Beetle identity for awhile.
Mitchell Black is refused the reissual of his medical license, and new facts come out in the open about the accidental death that made him lose it in the first place.
Nightshade goes to visit her uncle Yves, and gets ready to embark on a new journey -- to find her lost soul.
Jagger meditates and helps Captain Atom find his form, along with a new (Kingdom Come) costume.
The team regathers for a moment, before saying their good-byes. Sage notes in his story that the physical change in Cap'n Atom represents the changes that took place in everyone. They weren't the same costumed adventurers.
Sage notes too, as he hits the delete button, that the world will have to "learn from it's own mistakes, instead of ours."
Epilogue One: Sarge and the (independently wealthy) Justine...about to get it on.
Epilogue Two: Ripley vows to make peace with Tiger.
Epilogue Three: Tiger makes plans to find Nanda Parabat himself.
A more complete summary coming soon!
