The Blue Beetle dreams about not being able to save his friend Dan Garrett, before he's awakened by Salt and the Question. The Bug is on auto-pilot, heading in stealth mode to meet Avatar.
The Justice League continue to kill time in their other-worldly dimension, as J'onn scans the area for brainwaves. Eve Eden stops a kidnapping attempt by other-dimension monsters on her uncle Yves. sarge Steel wakes up next to a half-naked Justine Ramagas and can't believe his luck!
Avatar springs a trap on the heroes with winged monsters overtaking the bug and the Peacemaker jet. The heroes win out barely, but find that Judomaster has been kidnapped. The Question muses that a traitor seems to be in the Peacemaker Project's midst.
Avatar delivers his plan -- to kill all of the "Warrior caste" on Earth, and Sarge Steel makes plans of his own -- to use the Geo-Stationary Operations and Reconaissance Technology (GORT) satellite, which has the ability to link together all the governments, and therefore all of the militaries, of the world as one. But the traitor, Dr. Bhattacarja, speaks to her master and tells him that they're going to use GORT -- which falls in line with the Avatar's plan.
The Avatar celebrates this fact to Captain Atom as he goes to drink his "elixir of immortality." He wakes up his other captive, Judomaster, to make him watch. Judomaster expresses pity and wishes he could help Avatar -- except he uses the demi-god's real name: Tiger!
